Visible for miles around is Kraiburg`s defining landmark, the Schlossberg, a hill upon which a chapel dedicated to St. George stands on the site of a demolished castle, overlooking the town. A breathtaking view over the Inn Valley is already reason enough to make the climb from the marketplace up to the Schlossberg. There are numerous places to stop for refreshment around the medieval marketplace with its beautiful fountains and delightful houses in the typical Inn-Salzach style.
